Oh my goodness - I'm so sorry to hear about this! The longest I've ever had a migraine was 3 days due to a sinus infection, but I've never had one for 4. I hope that today will be the last day for you - I truly sympathize. Migraines are so debilitating and very uncomfortable I wish I could help you out with this - I put up a post recently that got many great suggestions if you are looking for help with how to help deal with it http://www.unsolvedmysteries.com/usm440568.html Hope you feel better! ~ Coffee Goddess |

Could be tension or cluster headaches..have you been drinking enough?? Sometimes dehydration can cause really bad headaches as well. Try lying in the dark with no lights at all and Excedrin Migraine works really well for me. Also, I would suggest seeing a doctor because it could be your blood pressure as well..a migraine for 4 days is nothing to mess with..get it checked out to be safe. |

As has been mentioned, dehydration or infection can cause long term migraines. If it is a recurring problem, there could also be nerve pressure in the neck region. |

I drink a lot, I think I will turn int a camel soon I know its not my eyes cos I got that checked, the neck, there might be possibilities there, anyways, I will be going to the emergy room after my work shift, I been taking tylenol, advil, motrin for the past days and I started to get stomach burns yesterday, I ate some boiled white eggs, so my stomach settled down quite nicely. So 7 more hours to go till I finish work.. I should of stayed home today, but I cant call in work sick saying I got a migraine..I would feel weird saying that..~*~*Mlila |

See your doctor and try a drug called Imitrex, it usually will stop any migraine in under 30 minutes. |

I think I tried that one, it made me trow up..I tried also, amytriplyne, that was horrible.then the doctor made me try some vitamin that cost like 80 bucks for 5 pills, that made me trow up...I am sick of pills, I dont want to hide the effect, i want to fix this problem...Its strange that today, they can make computer memories so tiny but they dont concentrate anough their money on health issues..~*~Mlila |

If you have ever had a neck or shoulder injury, then you are prone to migraines. A lot of times when the injury heals, it heals in such a manner that it puts pressure on the nerves. My mom had this problem. She broke her shoulder as a teen, and also injured her neck in her 30s. I have problems at times, and I shattered my shoulder as a teen. |

I used to have them ALL the time enough to get physically sick. Make sure you eat, even if its plain bread. I know when we get these terrible headaches the last thing we dont want to do is eat - but you must. I know when I take my oldest son in to the ER, a doctor has given him Benadryl. That helps him EVERY time. I finally went to a Neurologist (sp) and he sent me for Physically Therapy - WOW what a diiference! I have a migraine MAYBE 1-2 times a month if that and I'm NOT on daily med's any longer. If you have medical insurance - use it. I wish you migraine free days! No one can understand the pain of a migraine UNTIL they experience it. God bless.....illy |

Also, (you dont have to answer this) but depression can bring on a migraine. I have been told to drink Gatorade too. Try the Benadryl - |
