Toddler's Talking Elmo Book Asks "Who Wants To Die?" Company Receives Several Complaints UPDATED: 1:05 pm EST January 3, 2006

Elmo wants to know- "Who wants to die?" A new interactive book for toddlers has Sesame Street character Elmo asking "who wants to die?" according to a Dallas mother and several other parents complaining about Elmo's new book.

The book, "Potty time with Elmo," is supposed to teach interactive lessons by listening to voice commands, but push a button on 16-month-old Miranda Boll's book, and Elmo asks- "who wants to die?"

"It's a sick joke," mother Angela Bolls said. "If it's a joke then it's a bad one, you know? And it's not necessary. It's inappropriate."

Miranda's mom checked another copy of the same book and found that it says something different- "Who wants to try to go potty?"

The book manufacturer has stated that it has had several complaints concerning the book.

Date: 1/3/2006 1:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 3125    That reminds me of a doll I bought for one of my grandaughters a while back. This doll said vulgar words. I was shocked to hear such words coming from a doll. I had returned it the day before the dolls made the news.
