Computer help...unloading pictures from a disc?

Can anyone help me with this? i just got some Halloween pictures developed from a disposable camera, and got them also put on a CD. But upon putting the CD in the disc drive, i couldn't get it to open the file. It sounded like the computer was reading the disc, but then nothing happened.

Is there something i need to click on to get them to open up? i'm pretty computer illiterate and i know a lot of you do this kind of thing all the time so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know! i'm worried that there is something wrong with my drive, rather than my expertise...seems like i've done this before and it opened up on its own.

Help me...thanks in advance! -asylem_s.
