Influential death

I truly believed every word you said
And it didn’t help that actions followed them

We crammed so much in so little time
Made plans for our entire lives

It was enchanting, enlightening, our love was
I thought it was all founded on trust

We both made promises, never intended to break
We both had been through too much heartache
We swore our love we’d never forsake
What we had I still can’t shake

I’ll never understand why it all fell apart

How could you have expected me to just wait around
As you were pulling away
