A Dutch woman can deduct the 2197 euro (about $ 2500 I think), which she paid for her witch education, from her taxes. She went to trial when the Dutch authorities refused to accept the fee as a professional cost. The judge now has ruled that she can deduct the amount. Turns out she is an actrice with an intrest in the middle ages and witchcraft, and she needed the knowledge to expand her field of expertise and improve her financial situation (which is a condition for the deduction). As a result of this ruling, all wannabe witches can put the costs for their education on their tax letter as long as they prove that their financial and economical situation improved after following the course.
The education is not officially recognised by the department of education and there aren't any vacancies for the profession either, but for actors and actrices there are. Therefor the education fee is tax deductible.
Those dutch people.... Wonder why it costs so much money tho. I thought it was a learning process which takes quite some time to fullfil. Not sure what to think of it, do you ?
