Who watched the Shelter from the Storm concert?

so did anyone see the Shelter from the Storm concert (for Hurricane Katrina) tonight? If so what did you think? Any preformaces that you liked best? I watched it and it was not to bad. Some of the parts made me cry. The part where Cameron Diaz talked about the little boy carrying his baby brother and leading some other kids through the streets, yeah tears in my eyes right then. It was impressive to see all those celebrities answering the phones, like i saw Sandra Bullock, Jack Nickelson, Reba McEntire, a guy from NYPD Blue, Ellen DeGeneres (even though she had already been a speaker) and yeah that was kind of amazing. And the preformace I liked best was Garth Brooks. That had to have been the first live show he's done in a long time...and with his new fiance as a back up singer...but anyways. Yeah it was cool that they ran it through with no commericals and it was on a lot of channels, lifetime network even had it on and E. I think they should have had Fats Domino on there, he was in the hurricane after all.....well whats your response?

Not very characteristic of me, but it was so sad.. it kind of reminded me of how I felt on 9/11.

Date: 9/10/2005 6:01:00 AM  From Authorid: 3835    Hey!!!! I got to see parts of that before I went to work last night. I got to see Paul Simon and I cannot recall the groups name right off the top of my head, but they sang the song "Born in the bayou" (could it be Little River band maybe?).. Then some song about "When God made me" *rolls eyes* sorry, that was a little too sad for my spirit and too repetative on those exact words, over and over and over. But I am certain someone had to be like, sitting in their chairs at home just wailing out the song (-: Anyways,, I thought that was a really good program and wanted to stay and watch more of it but had to leave for work after hearing just three songs and seeing some of the photos and stuff.. glad to hear it was a great program too.. I know that should help raise up some more to help everyone still there and still in need. It almost reminds me a third world country in our country with the hunger and homeless and death tolls in so many numbers. Just breaks my heart. I generously gave to two separte charities.

Date: 9/10/2005 8:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 28848    I only have basic tv stations, no cable, and it was on every single channel that I have..lol. But I didn't watch because I'm honestly just tired of crying.
