You know I love you
More than anything else
I’m always there for you
And you’ve always done everything
For me. And on top of that
You’d do it again just to see my happy.
You’d sacrifice everything
Just to give me a moment of light
When life seems so menacing
And when it’s always harassing me
You seem to find a couple of words
That makes me mad, but always assuring
Everything you say is getting through
And yeah, yeah I know I’m hard headed
But mom, I’m doing everything for you
I’m gonna to college, wanna make you glad
I’m gonna to be a writer
Just so you can have everything you never had
You’re my inspiration for all I do
And to say it mildly
I owe everything to you
I’m gonna write and I’m gonna sing
That’s just what I’m gonna do
I can’t hold a tune, but what’s that really mean?
Thanks mom for letting me do anything I asked
And even supporting me
When you knew it wasn’t meant to last
It means a lot just to have a little encouragement
But you gave more than a little, you gave a lot
And I still going to love every bit of it
And I’m gonna love your forever and a day
I’m gonna learn to tumble mountains and stop oceans
Just to have a way to say “Mom, I love you and thank God for you everyday.”
