Date: 8/28/2005 4:12:00 PM From Authorid: 52337 It's not so much a good change. It's not so much a bad change. I like all three of those bands. Along with many other new ones but the lyrics are usually about the usual scene crowd. By this I mean cutting, suicidial thinking, etc. Teens are so easily influenced these days. Even though, me, myself, am only thirteen, it is the truth. Cady<3 |
Date: 8/28/2005 4:17:00 PM From Authorid: 28848 I'm not sure I've heard music from any of the bands you listed. But music like everything else, goes through phases. |
Date: 8/28/2005 4:17:00 PM From Authorid: 10773 I gotta say, I've never heard these bands lol |
Date: 8/28/2005 4:22:00 PM From Authorid: 19772 Every generation has it's own look and sound. If you're really a music lover than you can usually find something in every generation that you like. I can usually find something out of every type and time in music that I enjoy listening to. My friends tease me because I have The Misfits, Beethoven, Run DMC, Garth Brooks, Metallica, Duran Duran, Jessica Simpson, Seether, Eminem, and Lynard Skynard all next to one another in my C.d. tower, lol. ~Take Care~ |
Date: 8/28/2005 4:23:00 PM From Authorid: 35720 I'm okay with all musical genres.. however, I don't like how the new trendy thing to do is to be "different".. I wish people would just be themselves. |
Date: 8/28/2005 4:25:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 24704 I agree, Princess Lizard. Trends were made to be followed, but I'm not too sure this kind of music is just a trend, because trends do fade. It's not even taking ovber the new genres, but it's also going into a lot of the heavy metal bands. I am sad to say it, but I think the old style of melodic voices and killing guitar solos. Go/ing to now, stock guitar rhythms and screaming. I like it in moderation from some bands. Some, it's all I can listen to. Although, we all have our preferences. |

Date: 8/28/2005 5:11:00 PM From Authorid: 13297 I'm with Jynx, I too have a very eclectic mix of music. It really for me just depends on the song - my tastes are not genre/artist specific though there are some I might like a little more than others. I know there was a time my parent's generation couldn't listen to rock and roll. It was considered the coming of the end and evil and influential and all that. Shoot they couldn't even show Elvis' hips on TV. I think each generation looks at the next's music and philosophies as the signal of society's downfall. |

Things with music change overtime, some, like me like all kinds of music (except Hip-Hop or Country, so basically, I like all kinds of rock) I have some frineds who are like me about music, and some who hate the other types of music, because it's too old, or because you want to stay with the past and listen "what started rock", which is a good point. The part about changes in music doesn't qualify as good or bad, unless it's been through opinion. My friends who like 60's and 70's music even despise 80's rock, for example, because fashion, music, and bands have completely changed overtime. Ryan-5 |
