Drowning

When i was 4 or 5 years old my older sister took me swimming with her.We went to the local swimming hole.It is always crowded with people.I could not swim at this point.

A friend of my sister decided to grab me and swim out to the middle of the lake.I got scared and started fighting him and he dropped me.

I remember being in the water and looking up and I could see the sun.I wasn't scared at all for some reason.Maybe I was too young to understand.I remember I had the most calm feeling and I could feel the sunlight just warm my whole body and felt like it was pulling me up.My sisters friends were able to do cpr and brought me back.Noone ever really believed me that the sun was lifting me.

How it changed my life:

I have always remember that feeling and not been afraid of dying for some odd reason.

Date: 8/10/2005 5:24:00 AM  From Authorid: 63205    How surreal! It's good that you got something positive out of what otherwise would have been a terrifying experience. I remember going underwater in a pool (with a life vest on) when I was around 8 or 9 years old then not being able to pull myself back up because the device was working against me. I don't even know how I did it, but it was the scariest water experience of my life! Thanks for sharing!

Date: 4/5/2006 2:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 63047    The scariest experience in water I had was probably when I was about 6 or 7, I was in a hot tub with some friends of my parents and my parents too, and I must have slipped and fell in. All I know was that I was coughing out water when I got out and shaking lol. It wasn't that bad, but scary for my age *ANGUS*
