"Where's Daddy?" I hear him ask Everyday the same question And, everyday The same answer "Gone." Each and every time My heart breaks How do you explain To your child That Daddy doesn't care? How do you make them understand? "Daddy loves you." The lie always pours forth Daddy can't make time For a simple hug or kiss It pulls at the heart strings And anger wells Hatred for this man Who helped to create A beautiful life. And can now ignore this gift.
