Chemistry Experiment HELP!

  Author:  49991  Category:(Discussion) Created:(2/25/2005 8:04:00 PM)

Alittle background. I feel like I can barely keep my head above water int his Chemistry class. I have straight As, but in this class I have a D minus.

I was wondering if anyone could help me find the answers to the graph at the bottom of this webpage http://www.tvgreen.com/chapt12/documents/heatcurv.htm

It would be greatly appreciated. I have the first answers but I ran out of time on the rest, and I don't think I even did it right, so I probably would be just as well as starting over.

You're help woul be greatly appreciated.

Date: 2/25/2005 8:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 62675    It has been years since I did Chemisty but I got an A in the class. However, I feel that by doing someone elses homework is teaching htem not the subject but htat other people will do it for you. I will go look at it and see if I can give ideas to help you along!
Date: 2/25/2005 8:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 62675    Ok took a look see. Did you actually do the experiment cause you have to to fill in the graph. to do the graph follow what the directions say and record the temp every 15 seconds. The whole point of the experiment is to find the freezing point and melting point of the mixture. Noone can actualy do this for you because you have to do the experiment.
Date: 2/25/2005 9:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 63077    I don't have time to look at it, but reading Sunni's post, I would venture a guess (A+ in chem, btw, one of the only ones I picked up in high school) that you can figure on your own the "actual" boiling and freezing points of the mixture, and then move them slightly to account for errors in the experimental value. I'll try to give you something better in the morning. USMC0705
Date: 2/25/2005 9:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 38751    i would help , but that would involve me doing the experiment which i cant lol , although if you have a filled in chart i can give you a hand
Date: 2/25/2005 10:19:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 49991    I actually did the experiment. I ran out of time, I have the first chart finished, I usually do do all my homework on my own, and I've never struggled in a class quite like this before in a class.
Date: 2/26/2005 8:27:00 AM  From Authorid: 63077    WEll, lessee...taking a further look at it, getting the answers to fill in the graph would mean that all you'd have to do is keep good records of your observations. Past that, the questions are pretty simple, based mostly on the graph. If you did the experiment, just fill in the values you recorded at each time interval and you ought to be set. USMC0705
