I wish I may I wish I might, Be to see you shine your light. I hope I say what my mind may, Praying to stay far from harm’s way.
If in confusion I wish to continue, Loss and pain would soon be due. So I say I lay me down to sleep, Though I hurt to limit what I may keep.
Stumbling more often than ever before, The tears that quickly form I come to adore. Dripping unbearably so that I may remain awake, For if I do sleep and never wake, Would there be anything in this life I’d wish to take?
