I been writing some pretty deep sad songs lately. My poems/songs like- the tears come falling, my lonely heart, closure, and come around, are all written thanks to my hero hank williams and the old ways of country music. I love the version of hank williams sr/jr "theres a tear in my beer" from 1989. Thats like a classic. But i found it on napser tonite. But now im listening to nonstop. I just find writing sad heartbreak songs so much easier, and so fun to write. I want to bring people to tears and touch their hearts. I can write em straight to the point like my "Im Sorry", or i can write it dark like your reading hank williams. No I am not a sad person in life, but i can apprehend to music and i listen to all these classic songs, and i write what would of been wroten back in the traditional sense. I have been heartbroken so many times and i write from experience. Mind you im only 20. Im taking guitar lessons, Im two lessons in and the guy is amazed how fast im getting it. I never took a writing course, the writing came to me in my sophmore year, and i been writing nonstop. Im up too 100 songs in 4 years. I wrote 4 songs the other nite in 4 hours. But Im writing for a album called ECHOS-All about the heydays of country music, and the way it should be. Traditional and About life, drinking, cheating, and loving. :) Joe

Date: 2/16/2005 11:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 42945    not being a songwriter or even a poet myself, I always imagined that people that do this, are writing from feelings from their hearts or some moment in time that have taken their fancy...I like your work however the mood is that I feel in them....hugs
Date: 2/17/2005 6:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 28946    I like those old great country songsters too Joe and have found newer ones that have the old fashioned sound too. If you can do a search on Don Williams --- he sings the old cowboy songs and I think American Jubilee is a cowboy/1920's style country music that might give you some inspiration. Take care Joe and keep up the good work.
