I don't see why it matters? I mean, it does make for interesting conversation...but the point of the matter is that people who believe in a particular religion DO feel at peace, and if it is true for them and DOES drive them to make changes that would not otherwise be possible, then how much more real does it get? Nothing exists outside of human perception. Reality does not exist as we think of it...therefore why should our gods? I do have to lean toward there being SOME type of supernatural beings. There are too many similarities between religions and ancient folklore of cultures that are vastly different for them to not be based in SOME fact. Humans perceive reality according to our experiences, so therefore no two people will describe a situation in exactly the same way. The particulars of religion aren't important. It really IS just the belief and the way it manifests itself that matters. |

The reality perceived I do not see here is one of the impossible. The miraculous. The beyond coicidencidental situations that show that it just cannot be random. Those are the ones that show more of the truth to me then anything else. Bless |

Maybe. Have you consider ALL religions and faiths, where they come from, the cultures and countries affected by different beliefs? I think you have, when you say we all "may be wired by the almighty" to find peace, it most likely it isn't any one religion, that is too biased, it has to be a universal God who does allow us peace inside ourselves for believing and acting upon the spiritual feelings we find deep within. Surely the source is one who cares and loves all humanity and expects the same. |

There is a big difference between religion and faith. Religion can be of different denominations and their beliefs. God said he knew us first, while we were still in our mothers womb. I believe that our spirit our very soul was looking for what it had been seperated from when we were born. Some find it sooner, some find it latter, but I've had to many and seen too many experiences, reality experience with God to doubt or even think that it is anything except a supernatual relationship. |

If anytime you felt a sense of love when beliving in a higher being, and that was only phycological then why would that matter anyway if it was false, if life had no higher power or meaning why would it matter if we are only responding to a phycological wanting of love. because in that sort of existance nothing matters. now here is another thought if there is no higher being then why would anture deside to wire us to have a wanting to know about the after life the higher being or the soul if non of that exists then why to people qwestion that. if it did not exist then why would anture trick us. |

Some people find happiness in drinking, maybe more so if there was no side effects. People usually find happiness and peace when their mind isn't dwelling on troubled thoughts. |

I think that it is psychological. As you say, if someone believes that someone is watching over them and protecting them in some way then they would be able to lean on that strength and be calmer for it. I doubt the God WOULD stop the bus though, they have brakes for that |
