I would like to share an urban legend with everyone based on the alligators in the sewer legend. I work at a slaughter house in Dodge City, Kansas that slaughters cattle. In the slaughter house there is a sewage/drainage system installed in the factory where blood is drained off into ( as well as meat unacceptable for people to eat ). There are manhole covers where people who work in the maintance department use to go "underground" into the drainage ducts ( where all the blood and meat goes ). With all the "garbage" that winds up down there, I have heard stories from people employed in the maintance department that while they are in the tunnels, they see rats as large as a small dog, spiders the size of a man's fist ( that have spun large, thick webs ); and, a few really large watersnakes that swim on the top of the blood in the tunnels. The U.S.D.A. is supposed to "inspect" the plant to make sure everything is acceptable; but, none of them ever go into the tunnels. This makes it easy for biological diseases to spread to the meat that people eat ( causing sickness; and, death in people ). On a related note, Dodge City is a pretty old town with lots of tunnels underneath the town where sewage goes ( and I am sure that the public sewage system and plant systems are connected ). It is erie in the fact that when one thinks that there have been some unsolved mysteries in Dodge City, where people have disappeared making one wonder if the person was murdered and their body was thrown into the sewer.............
