Date: 2/16/2005 3:02:00 PM From Authorid: 62310 When I was looking for a house I went to realtor.com. They have listings for houses, apartments, condos, and even manufactured homes. Hope that helps. |

Date: 2/16/2005 3:29:00 PM From Authorid: 53284 In our area, Realtors can list mobil homes. So you need to find one that specializes in mobile homes. MOst of the ones around here are sold alrady in mobile home parks, otherwise it's pretty hard to find a space to park it. |
Date: 2/16/2005 3:31:00 PM From Authorid: 3263 www.realtor.com, or even yahoo has real estate services. But keep in mind that if you plan on living in a community you'll be paying a monthly rent for that space or lot. And, if you are looking to buy on your own land, it's gonna be quite expensive to get it ready to live on. Trust me, this was the first thing I looked into when I decided to buy. I decided in the end it was better to just get a regular house. And Py is right, they depreciate in value. You'll probably regret owning one when you decide you're ready to move! |
Date: 2/16/2005 4:30:00 PM From Authorid: 53052 stay away from trailors they most often go down in value you pay high fees to be in trailor parks why not look into a small mortgage and a condo.. condos are GREAT starter homes dont cost too much(much less then a house) most things are taken care of in a small fee you pay monthly(here it's called a 'strata' fee) and condos often have a nice turn around....well they fluxuate with the housing market like houses do where as trailors dont often age well |

you can buy a nice little house for around the same price as a trailer. dont buy a trailer, im begging you....try getting a forclosure list from your local banks, also, there are alot of homes out there that have been on the market for a while and the seller is usually willingto take less than the listed price just to get rid of the darn thing lol, so you can find some good deals. |
Date: 2/17/2005 12:08:00 AM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62267 I have lived in a trailor most of my life...and in a trailor park. They are not bad. My cousin has a trailor that is nearly 25 yrs. old and is in great shape. Looks like new. Besides, I am going to look at a beautiful place this week sometime just down the road a piece...thanks for the advice.. |
Date: 2/17/2005 6:45:00 AM From Authorid: 62881 I have a triple wide mobile home. We bought it new in 2001. My husband didn't want to pay the price of a stick built home. Later he wanted to refinance for shorter years...(we only went 20 anyway)...and he wanted to try to get the interest rate down a little more. Interest is a little higher because he didn't tie the land in with the loan. He was advised not to by the salespeople...another mistake. Then the home has to be done a specific way (foundation, etc...) for a bank to EVEN CONSIDER a loan. I would call banks and loan companies and ask them what they would require in the event you run into the same problems. I would try to buy a house if it were me....Green Eyed Froggy |
