Oops, sorry I meant to put that site address. It is: www.donotcall.gov I had also found some site saying that this is a hoax and that's it'd not going to happen, but that's false. I was trying to see if there was a place that I could leave a comment telling someone to get their facts straight, because I have gotten lots of calls, and ever since I registered at this site listed above, I haven't gotten ONE call.  |

I think it may need to be a long time phone number. There was one I tried, a friend of mine's that has only had the number for a few months and it didn't work. But all the rest did. |

The Do Not Call registry (https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx...you can register your home and cell numbers there. I did it a long time ago. It works for everything except companies you do business with, political calls, and a couple of other groups. I haven't head any of those calls though...Green Eyed Froggy  |

I changed my phone number in December and I had no problem registering the new number. If a number has been registered before by someone else, then that may be the problem. But...once the number is registered no one is supposed to be able to call it for 5 years....Green Eyed Froggy |

If anyone calls my cell, they're going to be getting a lovely message called "the whale song". No one calls our house since the Do Not Call list, except people looking for the Sheriff's office, since the numbers are very close.  |
