Date: 2/16/2005 6:15:00 PM From Authorid: 16671 KJ I think its a wonderful thing all the learning that your doing But I have to caution you that NOT all web sites are giving you the truths of the bible. Plus I wish you would get a new king james version bible as it seem other bibles take the power out of the word of God. The bible says, I'm the Lord thy God , thou shalt not have any gods before me. Now the thing is a god does not have to be a spiritual being, it can be anything that you put before God, which then makes it Idolatry. I do understand why you would put some of these things down. But Pentecostalism? Or even Communism? I know many pentacostal people that love the Lord with all their hearts. I know of many people under communism that also have come to the Lord. A god can be that you put your car before God or your girl, or anything. But yes mostly spiriitual gods and there are many that are not of God. I do however Understand what your saying about Interpreting God to fit what the PERSON wants Him to be. But also in this sense, we have to look at God in a human way, such as He is loving, understanding forgiving because if we can't fit God into our human ways or thoughts then we will feel as If HE is out of reach and praise God he isnt. Keep on posting, keep on learning, love auntie. |
