lol...Im sorry, its alright if you look like Ashley,(feel insulted if someone says you SING like her) $100 to get it done finely and well, (but then again this is Canada)it isnt hard to care for, wash your hair once a week (your hair wont get dirty easily with the extensions) and make sure you use dandruff shampoo so you dont see flakes on your scalp.umm...I think thats it. dont cry, its really alright, remember darling, hair grows... |

Well, if the hair on the back is somewhat long you can pull it up in a bun or pony tail, as for keeping the rest in place try some cute barretes or bobby pins, the one's that come with beads and rhinestones. |

LOL Jaded, no i don't sing like her (probably worse, but at least i confine it to the shower!). DMK it was only 28-day wash-out dye; it's actually already fading. Skylar, it's too short to really pull back into a ponytail or anything, but the beaded/rhinestone barrettes are a good idea, thanks! Hugs to you all for responding! |

My advice would be forget the extensions idea , a lot of money for something that will grow back sweetie *hug* , but as far as advice , can u experiment with it? like use a paste and flick the ends or something? Try your best to have fun with it! search magazines and websites for inspiration! -Luv DWAH |

first off, your boyfriend is a dork. A guy oughta know better than tell his girl that her hair looks "awful"-- you shouldn't take that from him. Secondly, have ou considered getting it retrimmed? You can't get the length back, but you can at least get the mullet shape removed. My stylist always offers to recut my hair for free if the cut doesn't work. And, luckily, it'll grow back. |

Hard to say how to style it cuter, without getting to see it. I kind of like Ashlee Simpson's hair, even though I don't care for her . I think extensions are pretty dern expensive, but maybe they have come down in price. Is it too flat, or what exactly don't you like about it? |

I agree with Jaded on the singing part LOL I think that cut is OK, but I can understand where the front part would drive me nutty. Definetly try some hair accesories (sp?) Or see if u can get a recut just around the parts you dont like, so it all looks even. Good Luck! |

i would post a pic of it but i'm not sure how to do it. i don't think this site could host it; i've seen others on USM put in links to another website that has their pics on it but i don't know how to do that! It is very short on top in the back (my bangs are even longer than the top back, and kinda layered) and as it goes down in back it's all razor-y and lays funny, flat against my head but sticks out in different directions. |

I've had one of those cuts. Get a round ceramic brush with a good sized barrel, get some good mousse or spring for Tigi's small talk. Wet your hair, work through the mousse or cream and section off a layer in the back so that you have two in the back, one in the front and the sides. Using the brush; roll your side hair on it as to make it wisp back, not toward your face. In the back do it so it wisps away from your neck and in the front part it with your bangs primarily to one side with the wisp either toward your face or away, away looks better I think. Make sure you keep rolling the bush through your hair with the hair dryer on high speed/high heat. When you are done spray it with some medium hold spray and you're good to go. Good luck. |

I'm a hairdresser, and personally I would not get extensions. They are expensive and kind of gross, and they will drive you insane. And yes, your hair does get dirty and oily and gross under there and even starts to smell, because you are limited with how often you can wash your hair. People love them for the first week or so, and then tend to rip them out of their heads themselves. They are difficult to stand and maintain. I would suggest to you instead to go back to your stylist, tell her that you love what she does but don't like her recent cut. Tell her that it just isn't you. See if she has any suggestions as to changing the style. Look through magazines and pick out any pictures that you could morph your 'do into. And remember, it's hair, it grows back, and now you know what works for you better |

unfortunately your best route is a hat and to grow it out... go back to her and see if you can get it cleaned up into a way you like... extentions(good ones atleast) are fairly expensive and they literly have to glue the extentions to your existing hair or weave it into your existing hair which means you have to replace them every few months and it does magor damage to your hair |

you dont need enemies with a boyfriend like you've got hun, tell him to build a bridge and get over it...your hair will grow, thought about going for a trendy looking hair piece or full wig...my haircut once sent me straight to a large department store to get a full wig...I worked with 8 fellows and my hair looked shocking, I couldnt stand the taunts from the guys if I left it how it was, within 3 weeks it was looking okk but I left it an extra 2 weeks, they thought I had just had a trim...whewwwwwwww!!!! I dye my hair so much I keep a wig handy in case I wake up one day and find I have no hair, lol!! IT WILL GROW!!!! hugs |

We should cry together I have a similar story it started this summer with Lemon from usm. She was staying with me and we decided to bleach my naturally dark brown hair blonde. My hair being so dark I was told we should bleach it twice so we did and OMG My hair felt like rubberbands when wet and straw when dry it was horrid. I went on with expensive " hair cure" treatments for two months and finally said thats it. From my scalp to my chin my hair was healthy but past there it just looked terrible so christmas day I chopped it off! I hate my hair when it's flat and plain so I added layers it's really taken alot to get use to. I did my bangs a little shorter half way down my cheek and when I pulled it back in a ponytail hello ashley simpson. So didn't mean to cut it like that. I believe however that everything happens for a reason so this experience has made me finally decide blonde and short is not for me! and maybe the same for you I do suggest next time you feel like trying something new buy an outfit that you would normally never wear. It could be fun and you can take it off at the end of the day. Stay strong it will grow back! btw a stylish hat never hurt either lol, Love and Hugs, |
