God Always Wins "His ways may not be our ways"

We need to learn that what God allows, or even designs, does not always match up with our view of what would be best. The question is, do we trust that God is sovereign. Do we place our hope in Him and acknowledge His hand in every situation, or only in those that turn out the way we like.

Job was buffeted by Satan, abandoned by his friends and family, and encouraged to curse God. His response - "Though He slay me, I will hope in Him" (Job 13:15)

The three Hebrew children knew that their life could end in the fiery furnace. Yet they responded to Nebuchadnezzar - "...our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace... But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up." (Daniel 3:17-18)

Paul, left for dead, beaten, shipwrecked - "I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me." (Phil 4:12-13)

How it changed my life:

God always wins, remember that.

I do not view this post as having anything to do with angels to be honest.
Date: 2/12/2005 12:43:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 54461    Excuse me, but why are you criticizing what my post is about? So what if it is about God? And the bible.. the post says "Angels,God,Spiritual" I have a right just like everyone else does to post about my God. Thank you.
Date: 2/12/2005 2:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 34912    whoah, KJ... a little attitude there. Jesus says that you will know a man by his fruits and your last comment is drawing fruit flys. 5's comment was actually there to help you out and there's no reason to lash out like that. It makes me sad to see this from you.

And I could go down the line just on the front page of Angels, God, Spiritual and find many many more. And as much as I love Sur5r, she is wrong in this instance as it does say Angels, God, Spiritual. KJ is in his rightfull place to place a story about God. However Pacfic Soul you are right, KJ could have pointed this out to 5'er without the attitude. There are so many sections that sometimes even the admins get confused over what should go where.
