Ah I remember those days..My grandmother would drag me around every saturday to yard/garage sales! We use to get great deals on stuff..My mom went to they goodwill store not to long ago and bought this art thing for 1$ and it ended up being worth 1,500! So shes pretty happy about that..but at yard sales you can find really great deals on really neat stuff! I usually go to the flea market (I dont know if yall have them there or not) :-p  |

ooooh you bet I do!!! Last weeekend I went to the salvation army, and bought a yellow wing back chair, with matching ottoman!!! Woohooo. It does need more stuffing on the top of the ottoman, and it needs to be slivecovered I loooooooooove getting deals like that! You feel like a warrior shopper! lol.......Oh my, tomorrow is Saturday, think I will go looking for some treasures  !!!!!  |

I LOVE GARAGE SALES! Most of my favorite things come from garage sales or junk stores. It's great... someone spilled something on my braided wool rug and they were all freaked, and I just said "Don't worry about it... it's a $3 rug!" Tourmaline |

I know I was looking for some hair gel and at wal mart it would be like 3-5 bucks and your like..wow thats a lot just for gel! and I went to the dollar tree to take a look and the stuff I wanted..Found the exact hair gel I wanted and it was only a buck!! :-p |

The garage sales begin around here in April too, and I can't wait for them to start.I buy lots of cute clothes for my grandbabies and take them home and wash and iron them. I buy lots of great books to read too. Last summer I bought a most beautiful rose colored tablecloth for 50 cents!It was in perfect condition and the color was just what I wanted! Oh yes, I love the yard sales!  |

MsPriss and I actually started our business with things we bought from yard sales. We would each have a list of the best yard sales listed, and take off in diffeent directions with the trucks looking for bargains. In the early days of our business venture, we could get enough stuff to do three to four 30 auction spots a month, and would make anywhere from $1500 to $3000 a month. When we stopped selling at auctions, and began doing flea markets and antique shows, we could make as much as $4000 a month. Today, we still do yard and garage sales to maintain inventory for the small antiques flea market we do every month. For our bigger shows though, we often buy from auctions or estates, or off other dealers. One big antiques show can bring in as much as $4000 to $5000 for a single three day show. Our latest "big find" was a late 1800s hatbox dresser, often called a gentelemen's dresser, that we paid $200 for. Once refinished, it will have a sale price of about $2500.  |

I love doing that. A few of my family members (My father, grandparents and Uncle) usually get up early on Saturday morning and go because they find some great stuff to sell on Ebay (If those people only knew how much money they could get for some of their "junk". I would never get up early to go, but if I passed a yard sale, I'd stop by and see what they have. At the end of last summer, I took my fiancee's mother yard saling, because she'd never done it before. She couldn't believe all the good stuff she got and it hardly cost her anything.  |

Yes yard and garage sales are the greatest. I am officially known as the "yard sale queen" around my neighborhood. I have people calling me all of the time telling me to look for certain things for them. I truly love it and would rather go to them as eat and that is saying alot, cause I love to eat........haha........Much love and prayers.  |
