Click My Computer. Right click drive letter. Click properties. Select which type of files you want for auto play. |

This could depend on your software. Generally, when you put a CD into a drive, a program will pick it up. The default for an audio CD is usually Windows Media Player, but it might have been switched to any audio-playing program. And I'm not sure what all there is for DVD playing software.
