lol I love the title... it's so blunt. "ARTHUR MILLER: DEAD" But yeah.. I LOVE DoaS as well as the Crucible.. both genius. He was old though, hope he went painlessly. |

I saw on a writing website to say what you mean. I could sugarcoat it by saying, "Arthur Miller went to the great beyond" or "Arthur Miller has left our midst", but I think it's more effective to tell it like it is. I, for one, enjoyed his work, and am sad to hear such a great writer has died. We studied him quite a bit in some of my theater classes. |

Arthur Miller was a fine Playright....I was watching on A & E's Cold Case Studies in Forensic Science as well as City Confidential... a Couple months ago..., and Arthur Miller took a Personal interest in a Your Boy's Case... He had been falsely Accused of murdering his Mother (I think they lived in Connecticut?? But I'm not real sure about that), Anyway Arthur Miller and the entire town backed this young highschool student...while he had been tried abd Concicted for this murder..., but Miller Crusaded for a new Trial...The Police had this boy in the interrogation room for days without sleep., and without food or something to drink and they had convinced this young man that he had killed his mother...They nearly ruined his life., but was finally Acquitted in the case, though the Case remains Cold, they have yet to find the real murderer....Great Post, thanks for sharing this!!...T/C |

I knew of his Works, well. It is indeed a sad thing to have happened. Intelligent Creativity and Talent will be affected greatly by his loss of crossing over. Thanks for the post, otherwise I may not have heard of this. |

wow... that hits home. I remember doing a 25 page paper on the Crucible for a senior class in college. You really develop a kind of relationship with the author when you spend that much time in their work, so I'm sad that he has left us. |

I read the Crucible in english last year. It was a wonderful play. It has to be my favorite play of all time. I believe we are going to be reading Death of Salesman next year in english. He will be missed! |

It sucks big time! In my Intro. to Acting class, we had to pick partners and act out scenes from, like, six authors, such as Tennessee Williams, Lillian Hellman, and Arthur Miller. I didn't pick up, but one of my friends did and did a scene from Death of a Salesman. He was a good playwright and will be missed in the theater community. |

That "blunt" title did draw me in. Sad to see him go, The Crucible was actually one of the more enjoyable plays I had to read in high school English class. |
