Quiet moments with nothing said,
Refridgerator humming in my head,
Then the cats begin to purr,
Brown eyes smile that belong to her,
Simple, sweetness, as time ticks by,
Sharing moments without asking why,
Tennies and cap completes her line,
What elegance holding a glass of wine,
A movie, a book, and then a laugh,
A whole day seems like only half,
Hopes, dreams, and shared desires,
Card games, vocabulary, and passion fires,
Coffee, dinner, or a short drive,
Simple espressions to keep love alive,
Focused attention to each other's hearts,
She demonstrates love with a Doctorate of Arts,
Serious dilegence to the issues at hand,
Simple pleasures and joys unplanned,
The outside world goes about its day,
While inside two escape its frey,
The night comes with restless intent,
Sleep abandoned to mindfilled vent,
Tender offer to "lay your head down",
Effort made to block thoughts sound,
Soon the drifting to unconscious shores,
Even tolerance to unending snores,
Morning comes in pleasant tones,
Favorable news from the Dow Jones,
Sharing coffee and breaking morning light,
Removes the demons spawned in darkest night,
Go into the world for the job to do,
Yet each moment counted until again with you,
A white lie and then memories made,
While each heart is measured and weighed,
It is pleasure and it is pain,
It is joy and love's stain,
It is fear and it is sight,
It is weakness and it is might,
It is what two can do,
With uncommon love and a little glue.
