wow, ok. Freaq. Most Pizza drivers dont carry coins. They get a "bank" to start their shift, depending on who they work for. I was a GM for Papa John's and we gave the drivers $15 to start to make change, if they wanted coins they had to a cashier and ask. Most people don't ask for the coin change back (yes studies had been done as to the reason it was done this way) and he got .15 not .45 trust me, he was cursing you on the way back to the store being a stiff. - Typo Demon |

This must be happening everywhere with some of the pizza delivery people. I dislike dishonesty and feel this is an example of people thinking you owe them for them doing a job they get paid for. Tipping is not mandatory. (Miss Manners and Dear Abby both agree on that.) |

Because most people are nice enough to say keep the change, the same thing when I was manager for Pizza Hut , we wouldn't start them off with change, except for a few dollars in quarters, because 99.9 percent of people will say kep the change...... or write a check! |

Base, several reasons 1. coins get heavy, Pizza drivers are a target for criminals being weighted down makes them that much more vulnerable. 2.they have drop boxes in the store to keep there tips but it only holds so much and isn't designed for coins really. 3. The major companies have done studies on the amount of customers (percertage wise) who actually ask for coin back, wasn't work the risk to the drivers to carry. - Typo Demon |

In the 30 years I've had delivery pizza, change has always been made. I asked our pizza hut about it once when change wasn't given and the manager told me that their drivers are given change. Even if they didn't have change, they could ask the customer if they had exact change as they didn't. |

do you realize that Pizza Drivers, and waitresses in most states -- NOT ALL --- only get paid 2.13 an hour! Thier job details to them that they will be paid in tips! It saves people gas not to drive to the pizza place, common courtesy says --- let me give a guy a buck for using his miles on his car, and his gas for bringing me my dinner because i couldn't - didnt want - or wont go to the place and get my own pizza! |

I used to waitress and so did my daughter and my sister and so I know about the wage situation and where a waitress must make sure she gives service with a smile and act curteous to get a good tip. I'm sure others get tired of lousy service where it seems the customer is a pain in the neck to waitresses that think they are owed a tip. If that's the attitude then they need to find a different job. |

then call the store Freaq, most drivers start to reach into there bank pocket to give change (at least that is how I ran my area) but let me give some advice first, explain it nicely and don't be mean, you address is already maked as a bad tip house, is that a thing thats allowed, NO, but do drivers talk about who tips well and who doesn't? you better believe it. - Typo Demon |

TYPO --- thats what I was saying about that little extra service! beleive me when I was waitress, if someone stiffed me all the time, you better beleive that thier glass came out of the dirty dish room unsanitized! I was younger then, and would never do it now, but I am aware of what peope will do when they have been stiffed...
