Call an animal shelter like the Humane Society. They should be able to help. |

Rhiannon, we tried calling the Humane Society, but I gues they're gone for the night. Thanks author only for the suggestions, but the fire dept doesn't do that anymore and the tree is too high to climb without any type of equipment. moonshine3 |

Do you know any painters or roofers or someone who may have one of those tall extenable ladders? Or maybe a tree cutting service? They have those lifts on their trucks. Try the phonebook, maybe one of those people will be kind and help the poor kitty. Good luck. Take care, |

putsometype of cat food that you can stick on ,that you were using .Lure the cat closer to the pole.See if you can find something that would stick it like velcro of some sort. The fur of the cat should cling to a velcro.Lure it first and then cling it on see if that works. |

Another idea would be to inter wined a wire on a pole like a shave of U <--- and then bring it up and try to pull the cat off from the tree, just becareful. |

The cats hair can be shaved as well so you can always use an emergency glue so the cat can stick on the after you lure it in. |

My cat did this during the summer...he was about 30 feet up and scared the daylights out of me...like you we tried many ways of getting him down....Did the food thing, ladder, etc...he would walk a foot out and cry his little head off...We had to leave him up there over night...it broke my heart..but the only way we got him down was for my oldest son to go up the tree with a backpack...I don't recommend that of course..but it was the only answer we had...I wish I could help you....I would think once the cat becomes hungry enough it would find a way down though... |
