two annoying things

there are so many ways that street addresses are written that it is so confusing sometimes. when you see something like: 17-11888 232nd st maple ridge....what the heck is that? I don't even know how to begin to find that. I understand simpler stuff like: 2668 grandville st.

another thing is the english alphabet. when you give your address out over the phone, almost a hundred percent of the time people heard me wrong because letters like "v" sounds like "b" and "c" "d" "p" "z". so ben would be spelt "bem" and maple ridge would be "naple riege" and when they mail comes, I'm surprise it even made it here with all the errors.

Date: 2/4/2005 1:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 3835    As for the addresses, tha tis confusing to me too at times.. as for the alphabet, when I get to letters like you chose.. I also add a word that starts with that letter, "V as in victory, B as in banana, D as in dog, M as in mom ".. and so on. It really does help the person on the other end clarify the spelling greatly!!
Date: 2/4/2005 5:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 62876    LOL...my last name starts with a Z and it is kind of strange. People can never understand what I am saying so I usually do the whole "z as in zebra...etc..." instead of saying it anymore. I still get mail that has it starting with a "c" or a "v".
