Hello:D

I got a letter in the mail today from some place called the Congressional Student Leadership Conference, that has something to do with "Lead America" both of which I've never heard of.

Has anyone heard of this? They say its some thing where I can take classes for 6 or 10 days to get college credits because of my "Academic Achievements". Is this ligit? Anyone hae information on it? I'm interested in attending the classes it has, but I wanted to knwo first if it was real, if it was worth it, or if they were just sending this to anyone with passing GPA?

Any info would be appreciated,

Thanks

Love,

Moon Angel

Date: 1/22/2005 10:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    They send out a form to teachers and the teachers nominate students based on leadership skills and academic accomplishments. After you're nominated by a teacher you get the letter, it's legit. I'm not sure about the college credits for a 6 to 10 day class though, some colleges may except them and some may not.

Date: 1/23/2005 8:06:00 AM  From Authorid: 7574    I got one too, a couple of months ago. A couple of the things they had seemed pretty cool, like you could go to DC for a week and get to go see the sights and there was even one for the inauguration. But I live an hour from DC, so I didn't really see the point in spending money...
