The brain begins ticking, As I start my thinking. Differentiating myself from others, Comparing my sisters and brothers.
Analyzing the concept of our living, Observing the motion of those breathing. I heard a voice like the thunder of a storm, Felt the shivers as they were frightfully being born.
It was the Lord who had spoke to me, Spoke with sincere and clarity. No, it was I who had been speaking, There was no outside voice interfering.
My teary eyes gaze frantically around for control, Fearful of losing dualism between my body, mind and soul. Refusing that this life be lived with such hunger, Confused as the voices become more clear and stronger.
They were my voices that I was hearing, Voices that screech like nails on a chalkboard dragging. One said, “free my people from such a dark pit”, Then another said, “hold on my darling, soon you shall be fit.”
I had to escape from this cluster of insanity, Though it was my insanity that I was denying to be a part of me. Stop thinking was the only solution that I could use, The problem being that thinking was my heart’s only truce.
Now stop these voices from ever again appearing, My Lord, these voices when will they start disappearing. There goes another voice speaking with might, Another praying that I be safe while I sleep on this cold night.
So many voices surfacing so many tears, So many heard screams and many fading cheers. As one after another, each voice so significantly reveals, Sending prayers for my own needs, this my heart hears.
They started off as whispers within the mind, Doubting the Lord, he unveiled to me their kind. As if little angels existed along my side, Voices of good were heard over the bad, this occurring for the first time.
Prayers, wishes, and thanks they spoke of, Voices of angels filled with hope and unconditional love. Mercy my mind oh great one who brings forth such wonders, Bless my heart with the continuation of such voices, such blissful wonders. ---S.B. ice
