I believe everyone has a mission in life. Them people who died such a awful death may have already been planned to go. Maybe God thought it was there time. God knows all before we go, just remember that. Good post, and good questions. God bless |

The reason they do it is because for the most part they are hipocrites. Who wants to tell the truth and then have the same said about them when they are dead, they are storing up brownie points so, hopefully, when they die people only remember the good. |

see, I don't think that way.. my great aunt who lived next door to my grandma died some odd years ago, and when I was told, it didn't really affect me much. I said okay, and that I felt sorry for the family. But I wouldn't tell people she was this great person because in all reality she was mean and hated everyone, and she made it very clear too. |

I don't know..you pose a really good question..probably because when someone dies there is always someone who loved and respected them.. |

Most human beings are multi-faceted creatures, meaning they always have very many sides to them. A rapist could hold the door for a woman who would never suspect what he did. Everyone on the earth is like that. Jekyll and Hyde, you know. When people die, it's such a "tragedy." So, they go on and tell the public to remember them only while they were living their GOOD side. That's about it. Unless someone does something really henious, like Tim McVeigh. Then people will only remember their bad side. |

The reason for that is alot of people believe you shouldnt speak ill of the dead. So when someone dies, I guess people try and see all their good deeds and let the rest go. |

people have a way of idolizing the dead. Since my dad died, all I've ever heard is what a great guy he was. I never heard those words while he was alive and never did see any real proof that he was a great guy. Ie may have been a good friend, I wouldn't know. He was a horrible husband and father, that, I know. |
