Deb, Whether it be the hand of God in all this or man suffering the consequences of his own actions, I don't know, but many of us recognize that the unusual is happening regarding the weather, etc. It is hard to believe that all this is God attempting to warn mankind of the end because He says "The day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night".. and "Of that day no man knows". In other words..There will be no warning, but the end will come suddenly upon us. The ways of God is past finding out and all of what is going on could possibly be God's way of attempting to show mankind that they are not so much in control of things as they think they are. As I said, I don't know, but many can see that something drastic is happening.  |

Rusure, while that is true, I'm not talking about the day of the Lord being here and now as no man knows the hour, however God also said, "Mt 4 : For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.""All these are the beginning of sorrows." You have to admit, the tornados, hurricans, earthquakes, snow storm in places never before, so many climate changes, things that are in more abundant then anytime before, it just gets one to wonder if perhaps this is the begining of Gods sorrows? Just a thought. As your right lots of drastic things seem to be happening. Sundance, Maybe nature, maybe not.And I believe that I explained why God would do something in the post above, havent seen ya around, good to see ya stoppin in once in a while. |

I'd have to say it is true. It's Dec, almost new years and it got to 61 here the other day and it live in IL. Usually it is cold outside and we have snow. and we haven't had a big snow yet. As for today it feels more like spring out there. Something is def. happening. And if the things that are happening on our Earth isn't trying to tell us that the end is almost near then I wouldn't want to see what will tell us. I'd say it's coming tho.  |

Princess Dolphin, and that is how its going all around the country, heat where there is usually cold, snow where there is usually very warm. Yep something happening. Sur5r. Ya know in heaven God tells us there is neither male or female. It also tells us God is all, so wouldnt it stand to figure that perhaps because we do have male and female on this earth and God did say, let us make man in our own image, that God also has a female Image that we dont usually as Chrstians consider? Unsure Deb...but I do believe that we are receiving signs that all is not as it seems in this world, and that we are rapidly approaching a crossroads where the decisions we make will decide our salvation or destruction. Perhaps its just nature, an ever-increasing population pushing larger numbers of people into areas more susceptible to such large-scale tragedies...maybe it is God...who knows for sure. What I do know is that I believe my salvation to be determined by my actions and relations towards/with others...and if this tragedy instills a greater desire to show love to my fellow Man, then what harm can come from that. Doomsayers are quick to jump on changing events in order to hrald in the end times. The fact is that the weather we are seeing now is no different from the weather we have seen in the past at various times. As a child, I can remember winters where we picked tomatoes until February, and others where it snowed in early December, or as late as April. Our planet is constantly changing, and man does add to that change. At the same time, our entire universe is changing. Are these things evidence of the end times? No. It is just nature doing what nature has always done, baffling man.  |

I agree with you SongBird. It is a scary time that we live in and its amazing what we have seen or will see in our life times. Though God may not return to us in this life time and perhaps he might...I believe He will return and feel we should be prepared. We have many things to answer for and I am glad to say that I do believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior and do not worry to much about what will happen or is to come...cause what ever or when ever it does...I am prepared and know that I will be alright.  |

Deb, come live with me here in NC seems the weather here is beautiful. I guess thats another plus for living in the "Bible Belt" although I have to admit I miss not getting snow so far this year.  |

What an interesting topic! I'm really not sure what to think. I myself think that our weather is a direct affect of the earthquake and tsunami because they coincide pretty closely. It could be a very angry God, but whatever happens will happen. If God wants to take us away, I am ready for it. I'm just not going to live every day in fear.  |

It is well known in sceintific cricles that at one time most, if not all the continents were either together,or much closer than they are today. The Earth's crust being made up of numerous plates that are constantly shiftng has caused the present alignment of the continents. There have been no major shifts for hundreds of years until last week. It has already been proven that some islands and shorelines were actually moved, while some islands disappeared and others surfaced. All we are seeing is a new phase in our constantly changing world. As for the weather, man problably has as much to do with effecting the weather as anything, since it is a proven fact that man can mess up anything without much effort. |

Two Spirits, see that is where your wrong, as even if it were a sign of the end times, doom has nothing to do with it, I think only those that dont beleive in Jesus would consider it doom. While the bible tells us that satan is the God of this world, When Jesus gave His life for us, he took back the ability for God to have some measure of control back and also gave we beleivers the power and authority to do alot. *thats another posts, lol* Satan doesnt have to have Gods permission to do bad things as he is still the god of this world. However satan has no place in the believer or the believers life, this is what knowing your power and authority is all about. This is why so many good things could happen in this world if beleivers would just understand this power and authority and become united in prayer over these matters. Satan knows his time is short and he is going to do everything he can do to hurt mankind. |

""THERE WERE ONLY 2119 EARTHQUAKES RECORDED IN THE ENTIRE 19TH CENTURY A RECENT U.S.G.S REPORT SHOWS THERE WERE 4,139 EARTHQUAKES IN 1970 ALONE. IN 1996 THERE WERE 19,996. THIS IS AN INCREASE OF 15,857. DO YOU THINK THIS IS SUBSTANTIAL? SINCE 1987 THE NUMBER OF EARTHQUAKES RECORDED HAS NEARLY DOUBLED 1960s , tornados 6,813, 1990s 9,479 and after that in 1996 there were 13 killer tornados, with 25 deaths , 1997, 22 killer ones with 67 deaths and 1998 there were 28 killer tornados with 124 deaths. And then of course earthquakes have increased with this most recent one, which is the worst one in FORTY years. I dont find that the same as other years . True beweasie, but as I said, I dont think Jesus is coming back at this time, in Matt chapter twenty four it tells of so many things that have to come to pass first. But yep my heart is with the Lord also. LadyPhoenix, LOL. God created nature and can use it in any manner He wishes still to this day, as the heavens are not under satans domion, but satan can still use it for bad. This is why it kind of irks me when so many people blame God for bad weather killing so many people and such, they forget that there is a battle going on for the people of this earth and even many do not beleive in satan, but even those that dont have to reconize that there is postive energy and negative. In eastern North America, however, this is not the case. It is true that there are hundreds of old faults in the rocks of New England, but seismologists have not found any correlation between the frequency of modern earthquakes and the locations of old faults. Does this mean they dont have any earthquakes the seismologist asks? If fact they do but they are not related to any know fault lines. So Dark Phoenix guess ya cant go by your comment at all times. |

Also one book tells that the foundations of the word raged and the whole earth was moved violently, so yes I think this is one area that scientist and chrsitians agree on., I've not tried it but someone said that if you take all the continents and cut them out that the pieces fit like a puzzle showing that the one land mass of ancient days. your right man can mess up anything without much effort, thats why I'm glad I'm woman. KING knows about men messing up. LOL |

FB, the increase in numbers comes from the fact that documentation and detection ability is better today than it was say even a short 50 years ago. I can remember as a kid actually seeing a couple of tornadoes near where we lived, yet there was never any official record of a tornado. There have always been "killer tornadoes", those which rate F-4 or F-5. The thing is that in years past they could travel for miles through unpopulated areas, doing damage to nature, but never taking a life. Since the 70s, there has been a major population shift from the cities, to lesser populated areas. Many major cities have increased in size, some as much as tenfold, as people moved from downtown areas, to the suburbs, and business has moved with the people. Where once I could drive from Montgomery to Atlanta, over 200 miles back then and see few houses, the trip is now only about 140 miles, and there are subdivions all along the way, and I will pass through seven different cities. If one looks at population maps for the past 100 years, broken down in ten year increments, they will see the constant move to lesser populated areas. When the great San Francisco earthquake happend 100 years ago, there were no sensors to give any indication of what was coming. Even in the 70s, when California was rocked by several earthquakes, the only way to pick up the smaller tremors was to have detection equipment at or near the tremor sight, because the equipment was not good enough to pick up tremors at long distances, but only major shocks. Think about it, 20 years ago the only way to count lightning strikes between the clouds and earth was to have someone witness them and physically count the strikes. Today, we have equipment that can count strikes anywhere in the world. Technology has improved greatly, thus the ability to report significant evetnts has improved. People can believe it is all God's doing if they wish, but it nothing more that our planet going through the pains of growing older. |

two spirits, while documention and detection is and has got better, we weren't acctually in the ice ages in the 80' and 90. Or even the 70's as far as documention and detection went. Other wise they wouldnt have some of the figures they had then. Even today, with modern Technology, there are tornadoes and such that I havent seen reported when going on line, some that were close to where I lived yet I find no record of them. I didnt say it was God doing it. I'm saying its a possibility that God is allowing it, as part of the end times. None of us will know until we die, or until events spoken of in the bible come to pass rapidly and in full force where mankind or should I say mankind with any type of intelligence cant help but see the true facts of prophecy coming to life in front of their faces. But I guess that isnt true either as many many smart people will still have some other excuse for it. Oh well, we each have our own truths and paths. It is hard to say. I think there have been changes in weather in the past, so this could all just be mother nature taking its course. I guess the end times could be coming, but like I said its hard to say. I don't think there is any point in dwelling on this because what happens will happen. Just live everyday to its fullest.  |
