For the most part, I am skeptical of the Bible codes. Whatever you look for you can find. God is not the author of confussion. If the Lord wants you to know about it, he will tell you in the text itself. |

Actually, I don't agree Drkptrs.... they spoke very differently back then... the whole bible is sometimes difficult to believe. I do believe in the bible codes. My grandfather had a book titled Bible Codes that he read... he's a pastor. Not saying they're right or wrong... we won't know that until it happens. But I do myself believe in them. Nice post! **Dolphin Glitz** |

Drk is right...If you look hard enough, you will find what you are looking for, whether it is there or not...I think it is random, and could be done with most large texts... |

I've actually read the first book "Bible Code" which was incredible. I have the second book, but haven't had the chance to read it yet. I think anything is possible so why not this? *hugs* Love, |

Hmm good question. I guess it is possible. I mean it is the Bible and God did write it. I'm just glad that the comet will miss us in 2012. And if there are codes then I hope as humans and Children of God..I hope we smarten up on things, but I have a feeling that won't happen. I don't even think signs from God that shows us we better shape up or its over will make some pple listen. So i guess in the end we will get what is coming to us. I just hope I'm not here when it does..and im sure a lot are with me on that one. |

I am very skeptical of these codes. A man took the same program that finds the bible codes and use it on Moby Dick. And Moby Dick predicted the Kennedy Assassination, Princess Diana's death, and many other events, It has pretty much been proven that if you take a large body of text you will be able to find things in it. As a matter of fact whenever they have used the Bible Codes to try and predict the future, it has mostly been wrong. I saw a taped recording of the man who discovered the code and this interview was made in early 2003, in the interview he said that the end of the world in the codes is predicted in 2010 and for that event to take place there must be 7 years of peace in Israel, so he said that according to the codes that there must peace between Israel and it's neighbors in September or November of 2003 and we all see how that's going, that date has passed so now that bible code prediction is impossible. Just something for you to think about. Peace |

Personally I think its all bullocks. Any book can be applied to this theory and have results. Although the 'Bible Code'book was an interesting read, you can't believe everything you read. |

Well, I know for certain that the Hebrew scriptures are full of codes, but they are only evident when you see it in the original Hebrew. |

The Bible as well as other literary works have for years been used by people to send coded messages between each other. The reason is that given the infinite combinations of characters possible based on various codes, the literary work could be used over and over with only minor changes in the codes. Therefore it is easy for code breakers to make the Bible say whatever they want it to say. Given the proper code, the Bible could be made to say Mickey Mouse is real, Hitler was actually a saint, JFK is not dead, and Robert Redford will be the next president. So, why is their so much interest in books on the Bible Code and other such books? Because the authors know that there are people out there who really believe this stuff, thus their books are going to make money. |
