not everyday/grade you get a teacher that would actually take the time to make you feel like you are special, or make you feel like you want to try harder in your school work |

I had a teacher like that in 2nd grade. I loved her, she was my favorite. On our birthdays, she would make us a little cake, & make up a goodie bag of candy, just for us. She would have little parties for us. She taught me how to write incursive & do division - which took a while. She's since died, she had brain cancer I believe. But I didn't get to see her much towards the end. She was a good teacher, though. |

My 8th Grade Science Teacher, Mr. Ferguson. I'll never forget him. The only teacher I ever had who didn't just teach the material, but made us THINK about WHY it was the way it was. Actually made us THINK for ourselves. Best teacher I ever had- Typo Demon |

That's so cool. I wish all teachers could be like that. I don't have anything tangible, but my 5th grade teacher STILL makes me feel special. My mom runs into him every once in a while and he always asks about me, even though I haven't seen him in probably 20 years or more. He just retired last year and had to throw away the macrame plant hanger I had made for him while in his class because it finally fell apart. I can't even remember that I made it! I saw my 4th grade teacher a few years ago, but she didn't remember me, even after I told her my name. She was old when I was in her class, so she's ancient now. |

I had some cool teachers. I will never forget my 7th grade history teacher. He was so nice. He used to tell us stories that he would say were true, but you knew they werent. He would spend most of the time in class talking to us instead of teaching. My 11th grade chemistry teacher was cool, too. He didnt like to let people fail. Sometimes, if you were absent, he would just give you a grade in the computer for whatever work was due, instead of making you take it home. I missed about 4 days of school because of a school trip, and he just put 4 passing grades in the computer for me, without making me do any work. -GreenClover |
