This song is about those friday night football games, where u meet that special someone, and u want to ask them out, but you cant cuz your nervous and u look at the game clock and realize this might be all the time u have to ask them...
12 minutes to go
my heart is beating fast
sweat runs down my hand
the band is playing
the crowd is cheering
the hometeam is winning
but my head is spinning
should i ask her should i not
this last quarter is all i got
if i dont ask her now
then i wont have the chance
to ask her to the dance
she looks over smile and waves
my heart skips a beat
the football team made a great play
five minutes to go
the question is on my lips

two minute warning, the game is over
our team won by twenty-one
im getting so close
i pull her aside
ready to tell her whats on my mind
i whisper in her ears good game
and walk away
