This is my Christmas Carol for all the soldiers overseas. This year, my best friends husband is in Marine Boot camp, and he will not be with us through the holiday season... So, this one is for him, and all the other brave young men in our armed forces. I wrote it last year. Enjoy.
Your holiday will be warm
and your Christmas Dinner Lonesome,
Your Christmas Tree maybe a funny little palm.
But I want you to know, from so many miles back home,
I'll keep your Merry Christmas Alive.
I'll save the holly,
I'll save the lights,
I'll keep the Tinsel on the tree.
I'll leave the Mistletoe in the hall.
I'll keep loving you, for afterall,
Christmas is with you my love.
Your snowflakes will melt away,
when the sun comes up on Cristmas day.
Your friends will come and spread the cheer,
But we can't forget, that your not here.
I'll Save the Pumpkin Pies,
I'll save the decorations to brighten up your eyes,
When you come home from the desert so far away,
I'll save the Season Spirit for that day.
And when alas you come home, from your post.
We'll share a drink, and I will be your host,
to the most lovely Christmas you have ever seen,
My Christmas Darling all you need do, is dream.
I'll save the holly.
I'll save the lights.
I'll keep the tinsel on the tree.
I'll leave the mistletoe in the hall.
And I'll keep loving you, for afterall,
Christmas is with you my love.
So hurry home, and Merry Christmas with Me...
