Yup!! My husband and I went book shopping tonight. Got tons of books! We bought 23 books for a total of 55 bucks! Cheap!! :) I like cheap books. We got most of our books at two different Goodwills and some at Powel's Used n New Bookstore.

I was pretty bored a moment ago and decided to add up how much the books would have been if they were sold at the regular book store. I looked at the regular price on the books and all 23 books came up to the total of $218.68!!

Can you believe that?? But we got them for a total of $55.00! Much better than $218.68! Most of them are hard back books which are usually spendier than soft back books. And all the books are in good condition for them being used! :)

I think that for the price that I paid for 23 books all in good condition and most of them being in hard back is a really good deal!

I got a bunch of wiccan reading books, hubby got several books by James Patterson, a Sherlock Homes book for hubby's granny and two far side comic books for our fathers.

I love books! they're fun to read...depending what they are...lol

Normally they sell those books between 25-35 bucks, I believe and at Goodwill, they were selling them for 3 bucks. Very cheap!

Date: 12/21/2004 1:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 62367    I love all bookstores (as long as they don't include the word "adult" in the title). We've got the usual Barnes and Noble and Borders but we also have a great independent bookstore called Olson's and a used bookstore named McKay's. These all are great and depending on how much money I have that's where I shop. Whenever my friends and me went to the mall, it always meant the bookstore in the mall.
Date: 12/21/2004 3:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 62100    Books are a geat investment, especially if you are like me and know that in all likelihood you will reread them at some point. ESpecially a VERY good book I will reread at least 4 times..I love reading!!
Date: 12/21/2004 5:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 4144    i love going to the used book store! they also have movies on tape and dvd real cheap. i finally got my "mini library" in my computer room. my husband built the bookshelves i have been begging for!!! so now, one whole wall, floor to ceiling is nothing but shevles. i don't get rid of my books after i read them either! drives my husband nuts but somebody's gotta do it!
