Good question..whatever it is that relaxes you, do it as often as possible. Try not to take too much to heart.....and try not to take on more than you can handle. |

I'm going through with it right now, and my best bets are writing it out, and ramming your head against a wall. I prefer the second, you might prefer the first. |

weather permitting, there is nothing better than a good swim for me. Then there is the shower or bath, don't take one to clean yourself one time, just let the water get ya Walking, or if you have a doggy, walk that doggy. |

YOGA!! Even if you're not an exercise person--believe me, I'm NOT!! I HATE to exercize, but when I get stressed out, I play some cheesy or soft music, put on my most comfortable clothes, and do yoga til I feel better. Afterwards, you feel so stretched and relaxed! I HIGHLY reccommend it, even just a few basic moves (which is all I know, a couple of the basics). Good luck! |

Reduce or remove caffeine, sugar and other hyper foods or additives from your diet. Get a good night's sleep. Go on a news fast. Nightly soak in a nice bubble bath. Write in a journal. Attend church regular and follow the guidance you receive there. Be open and honest with others. Stay out of debt. Tear up those Pre-approved credit card ads. Use lay-a-way instead of charging. Disipher needs from wants. Choose good and loyal freinds. Love your parents. Serve others with your time and talents. Forget yourself and remember Him who will never give up on you. Now that I have given the advice, I guess I should heed it all myself Thanks for the reminder! |

concentrate on your breathes for about 1minute. Keep doing that. Either do that with your eyes opened focusing on one clear spot or with your eyes closed. ~~Distraught~~ |

Coloring books!! they really help sometimes (I'm 18 too) it's been proven that coloring helps reduce stress, maybe listening to loud heavy metal sounding fast paced songs will help? Screaming into a pillow helps sometimes too (only it's not very good for the vocal chords when done for long periods of time--I kno) good luck! |

well, prayer and the Bible are i guess the best places to start. i think worry has a lot to do with stress too. one thing you can always keep in mind is that you can't save the world. you can't let friends and family make their problems your problems. you are 18. i'm 40. trust me on this one! my stress level has been through the roof because of other people's problems. my daughter actually used to have panic attacks because of her friends bringing all their problems to her and expecting her to solve them. also, i have noticed that people that get too over friendly with co-workers have more stress. i'm not saying don't have friends or don't help friends. i'm just saying draw a line and make yourself not cross it. i am telling you what i wish somebody would have told me when i was 18! |
