CONFEDERATE FRUIT CAKE Ingredients:

1 cup butter

1 cup sugar

4 large eggs

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup brown sugar

lemon juice

nuts

1 or 2 quarts finest bourbon

Directions

Before you start, sample the bourbon to check for quality. Good, isn't it?

Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc. Check the bourbon again, as it must be of the finest quality. To be sure that it is just right, pour 1 level cup into a glass and drink it as quickly as you can. Repeat once more.

With an electric mixer, beat 1 cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and beat again.

Meanwhile, make sure that the bourbon quality has not diminished. Try another cup. Qpen second quart, if nessary.

Add 2 arge leggs, 2 cup fried druit, and beat till high. If fruit gets stuck in beaters, just pry it loose with a screwdriver.

Sample the burbon again and check for toncisisity.

Next, sift 3 cups of salt, or anythin. It doesn't really matter. Sample the bourbon again to make sure qualty hasn't dimished.

Sift 1/4 pint lemon juice; fold in chopped butter and strain nuts.

Add 1 babblespoon of brown thugar, or whatever color you can find, and mix hell.

Grease roven and turn cake pan to 360 degredees. Now pour the whole mess into the roven.

Sit down and sample the burbon again.
