The Only Thing-Gothic Angel

When the hurting would get so bad, and I couldn't even close my
eyes in fear I'd never open them to see the sun, I'd look
at what I had with you and remember the memories we shared.

When the tears wouldn't stop falling, and my heart was aching with echoed
beats of an undying feeling, I'd put my hand up to my heart, just so I
could feel it beating, and know you're right inside me.

When the rain would keep falling and the sun was hidden by the
grey and black clouds, I could feel myself getting colder, I would remember
the times you kept me warm and I knew inside I'd never get cold again.

When the winter snow killed everything and my heart felt like it
would freeze from the regret, and I couldn't remember how you smelt,
or how you felt, I'd look to the sky and remember your smile.

The only thing that never failed me....

-Heather AKA Gothic Angel
