type up the comments in word or something, that way it won't happen. its what I have to do for lengthy ones. and i know many people do that. |

When I know that I am going to make a lengthy comment I usually hit the "Disconnect" button, which just stops my connection, but doesn't prevent me from writing my comment. When I finish writing, I then hit the "Connect" button and then "Back" to go to the page where I had written the comment and then hit "Submit" and, viola!, there it is. I'm not sure if your internet connection allows this butit did take me a while to figure this out; I, too, lost lots of very valuable provocative comments -- to me anyway! God Bless. |

I agree with this too. I write a really long reply and it is meaningfull and then I get logged off and I have to rewrite it! UGH! So usually I end up not bothering. |

Anytime I write a lenghty post or comment, I always copy it as soon as I am done in case I get disconnected. |

Heh. Not too sure if you can fix it but my knowledge on the script that must go into USM is very minimal. I always copy my comments if they're over three lines long to prevent from losing it. That way, if the browser decides to freak out, it can just be pasted. - |

Sounds like YOUR connection and not USM at all. I can leave USM open all day and not touch it and yet remain logged in. Are you on dial up? |

heh. Its in the code to prevent someone from logging on in a libary and having someone else get on their account. All you would need is a logoff button and remove the code for auto log off. Whether im on a connection going 4.8k a second or one going 100mb a second if I spend too much time "Idle" writting a reply I get logged off the system. The IP is logged off. Has nothing to do with the connection unless of course the connection had a fake protocol and mask in the first instead of a solid static. |

You can log off yourself technically just going to logon and putting in bogus for the logon. |
