I don't remember drinking it out of a bottle, but I absolutely LOVE it from McDonalds. Don't ask me why, but it seems to taste so much better than from the can, 2 liter of anywhere else! |

I haven't had Coke from a glass bottle in so long. I remember seeing the festive glass ones this year, but I didn't get any. I think Coke in a plastic bottle tastes so much better than from a can or what ya get from a fast food place. |

I prefer coke in a can to coke in a plastic bottle. Plastic bottles make the coke taste flat and funny, cans are much better! I dont remember what the glass bottles taste like .... i might buy one and try it! |

You are right a bout the taste. It is better in a glass bottle. I remember when all soft drinks came in a bottle...we used to get a Dr. Pepper out of the machine at the laundromat and get a pack of peanuts at the same time..I put them in the bottle with the drink. I haven't done that in years!...Green Eyed Froggy |

My parents have a business and had one of those coke machines that had the glass bottles when I was little. Mom asked the coke delivery guy one time why the coke was so much better and he said it was something to do with the way they process it, I forget what exactly. So it isn't your imagination, they are much better. |

Soda does taste different from a can, a bottle, from a fountain drink and a bottle. I collect coke bottles. |

Yeah, beer still comes in glass bottles, so why not our sodas?? I miss glass bottles. I think one of the main reasons they stopped that is because not many were recycling the glass. |

I remember the original Mountain Dew in a green glass bottle with a hillbilly on it. The slogan was "Yahoo! Mountain Dew!" and then something about kick a poo joy juice. I also remember Coke in green glass bottles, and collecting those bottles in our wagon and hauling them to the store for 2 cents a piece. Then I would buy some spanish peanuts at the little BX or Base exchange and also a bottle of Coke and put the nuts inside. Ahh... the good ole' days and what gave us a "high". Now days I regularly drink Decaf Diet Coke or Fresca and only Diet Mountain Dew if I'm traveling a long ways to keep awake. I prefer fountain pop if it's mixed right and I LOVE Sonic's Diet Cherry Limeade with CRUSHED ice! I am a HUGE ice eater and I have started only buying it from the store vs. making my own. Just taste better. Now I'm thirsty... |

Too keep pop in plastic bottles from going flat after opening, tip the bottle down and up until it feels full of air; about 2-3 times. Then put it back in the fridge and it will have fizz next time you open it. Cap it tight! Do this each time it's opened and reclosed. |
