What Does Happiness Mean to You????.....Zema

What I mean is how would you describe the word "Happiness" and the meaning of it, to you.....I was thinking about how much happier today I feel about things, and wondered what it meant to others...Like, all the money in the world cannot buy full happiness (although I'd imagine it would go a long way to helping towards it), but how many times do you read in the Media where Billionaires, Millionaires and people of wealthy status, have trouble in relationships, families, and it would seem problems that people of less wealth also have, seems like the old cliche of "all the money in the world cannot buy good health" (except that the money may help to make it a little easier to bear). I feel that happiness to me, besides feeling good and having a good relationship, is seeing your loved ones healthy and things going right in their lives for them...I suppose everyone has their own version of what happiness means to them...but to me, being an average and ordinary adult who doesn't expect anything from anyone and who would rather give than take, helps a long way to keeping me happy ...Do simple pleasures and things make you happy??? just wondering thats all!!!!My dad was of the old school where he used to say "My girl, as long as you have a roof over your head, food in your belly and a bed to sleep in" can go a long way to keeping one happy than to say of some poor unfortunate soul who sleeps in the parks or under bridges and has to scavenge through rubbish bins for food...So yeah, tell me, what does HAPPINESS mean to you???.....hugs

Luv and Peace.....Zema

Gesh, does that sentance even make sense? lol, sorry its Friday arvo, going home in half hour
Date: 12/16/2004 10:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    Your Dad was a smart man. But my truest happiness is my family. They are what makes my life good and the little ones make it fantastic! I could tell stories all night long. Christopher stories, Steven stories, and Nina stories. They give me pure happiness, pure love and I only hope I give them back as much. I want them to remember me with love as long as they live, and that means more to me than anything ever could.

Date: 12/16/2004 10:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 62893    Great post, Zema. I have thought about this many times before. I don't want to be rich in my life time. I think more problems come from money than anything else. Well, like when I read journals on children that have cancer and are dying on the web, I think my life could be so much worse, like these mothers who are experiencing their child dying or anyone else and think that my life is perfect the way it is now.Misty
Date: 12/16/2004 10:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 20956    my Mum has always said to me that you never experience love as deep and as unconditional until you become a mother. looks like you've just second her thoughts

Date: 12/17/2004 4:21:00 AM  From Authorid: 44960    Happiness is something that no one can give you, no amout of money can buy it. It cant be found in an universal supermarket. It can only be found within one's self. Tapping into that happiness is not as easy as it may seem. The path to happiness is much smoother if you have a clear conscience and peace of mind. Date: 12/17/2004 4:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 58308    Happiness to me is when everyone else is happy, that way, I can be happy, too. *smiles*
Date: 12/17/2004 5:12:00 AM  From Authorid: 56489    Happiness to me is family, my cats (KIDS) and friends. If everyone is happy it's peace and harmony. I know money is the root of all evil, but me and my hubby (mostly) always wanted a business a diner we've both grew up from famlies with four children that hand me downs were a godsend & there were never so many ways to cook a dang potatoe, but we all grew up with nothing but alot of love & respect. We just always wanted that chance to make things a little better for our parents that struggled for us all them years, just make enough money so they don't have to work and we could survive comfortably.
Date: 12/17/2004 8:32:00 AM  From Authorid: 62682    Happiness to me is putting a smile on a loved ones face, Hearing laughter from freinds and family, and just being in good company of those I care about and whom care about me!

Date: 12/23/2004 7:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 4739    "Happiness is a state of being." I don't remember who said it, but it is such a true statement. If you are truly happy then it does not matter what is going on all around you. It comes from the inside. *hugs* Love,
