If you are against abortion he is worth it. I think this case is the stepping stone to making abortion illegal. To answer the question no he isnt worth it but Laci and Conner are.  |

Well I think the Middle East has enuff news being covered on it and I'm Canadian. We have lots of Middle East war stuff on the news and personally I'm tired of hearing about places being blown up and more people dying. Well, it was a terrible crime, but he was convicted on circumstantial evidence and I don't believe he should have gotten the death penalty....life in prison, yes; but just in case he didn't do it and down the road they find the real killer they should have given him life.  |

It's just interesting because it's happening within our own country, he got caught doing something bad, and he's going to get punished for it. Did he get death? I haven't heard anything about it lately  |

I've been following this case from the beginning. I think what draws every in is that he killed and disregarded so many things that most humans holds sacred......a pregnant wife, his first born child, Christmas Eve, marriage and the opportunity for her family to bury her and Connor appropriately. This case just struck too many nerves and hearts, in TOO many places.  |

Everytime I see pictures of Laci, I start to tear up...she is worth the attention and so was Connor. Now that there's been some resolution, I pray that the Rocha's and Scott's family can find some peace. |

well court tv picks cases like that, my cousins husband's dad killed his mother, and it was on court tv, and there are murders all the time in FL, they just pick certian cases, who knows but it was weird watching them on court tv  |

of course hes not worth the attention. and the war gets 90% of all news coverage so dont bring up that old BS line. hes getting so much coverage because the week the *expletive* hit the fan was a very slow news week. the networks have just be beating the dead horse ever since. let me break some other headline news for you. these kinds of crimes happen ALL the time.  |

I've been asking that SAME question from the beginning. Not that it isn't very tragic and that my sympathies aren't with the family, but if you think about all the murders that occur in this country on a daily basis, and how often women, especially batterred women, are murdered by their spouses, and I'm sure there's been some pregnant women in there, it makes you wonder...what's so special about this particular case that it should receive national attention over everyone else? My only answer is that the media occassionally seeks these types of sensational stories just so they can get the public's attention and boost their ratings. (and Ghost Chick, I don't think this post is a contradiction at all. It's simply voicing the puzzlement that some of us our feeling in the face of all this hoopla)  |
