Has anyone ever successfully did this? -- Mike

I'm curious about this. I recently found a website that gives the addresses and email addresses of different celebrities so I decided to email a couple of them. Has anyone written to or emailed a celebrity and gotten a response? What was it like? Was it kind or rude? Was it longer than you expected or hasty? What celebrities were they and did you email them or write them the old-fashioned way?

Date: 12/16/2004 2:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 62915    When princess diana died I got my class mates to write in this giant card I made and I sent it to Prince william and Prince Harry. One of their reps got back to me... closest I ever came! Ghost-chick

Date: 12/16/2004 3:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 12072    With such a large fan base, no celebrity would be able answer back personally. They most likely either type up one response to respond back to everyone, just inserting the right name, or they hire a staff to respond to their fan mail. If they were to do it themselves, they would be getting nothing else done! :-)
Date: 12/16/2004 5:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 55967    One time, a loooooong time ago when I was about 14 or 15, I sent a box of chocolate roses to Valerie Bertinelli along with a letter about myself and my goals, etc. I got a real letter back with thanks for the chocolate and comments about my goals. Whether she herself wrote it or a rep., it's a mystery to this day. It was typed, but the signature at the bottom was in marker and original (not a photocopy).
Date: 12/16/2004 6:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    I have only wrote one, to my celebrity crush when I was a little giddy teenybopper, a one note to a one Mr. Corey Haim! Even though his career is not so hot right now, I guess he hasn't found the time to respond back snort snort white blow

Date: 12/18/2004 9:59:00 AM  From Authorid: 24732    I never e-mail my favorite bands, but serveral bands I like have found my e-mail through my profile and sent me e-mail. Their e-mail name matched up with their contact info on their websites.
