Christmas Decorating...have you done yours?.........Green Eyed Froggy

Hey everybody! I was sitting here thinking about decorating for Christmas. I haven't been able to do any of it yet and am thinking of getting started this week-end. I am behind in my regular schedule since I usually have my tree up on Thanksgiving day or the day after.

I bought a 6 foot fiber optic tree last year and will be putting that up as well as the special colored ball-type lights that I got especially for that tree. I have some crystal type snow people, a family actually, ice skating on a pond that I will set out, and also a crystal type sleigh and reindeer. I love the way the crystal shines and glistens in the light from the tree! I won't be doing anty decorating outdoors this year.

That is not all I want to do, but it is a start!

So...have you already done your decorating? How much or how little did you do? Do you get really serious with decorating like in that movie, "Christmas with the Kranks?" Or do you do as little as you can get away with? Or nothing at all?

Date: 12/10/2004 6:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 7574    We put some lights up outside and there's this really annoying garland stuff around our banister. We also have the tree up, but there's no ornaments on it yet. We sorta slacked off this year.

Then I have lights and garland up on the porch and around the outside of the house in the bushes in front of my place. I also have a light up santa and snowman. On the roof of the porch we have a small santa and reindeers and sleigh. Then on the inside of the house. I have musical lights up around the ceiling of the main livingroom...as well as an 8 foot tree with about 8 strings of lights....some are the multi function lights others just flash on and off..we have a christmas train that runs around the base of our tree as well as one of the smaller types that you can run in and around the branches of the tree. I have all kinds of knick knacks and such..as well as my nativity scene which is my pride and joy. There is a lot. I really get into it when I start decorating. I really like Christmas once I can get myself into the season.
Date: 12/10/2004 9:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    As for here at college, I'm sticking around until next Friday, so I put some white lights on my bush outside the apt. and around the rim of the window and a little trail leading to my door. Ironically once I put them up, my light in my living room burnt out and the bulb can't be replaced b/c of wiring problems, so it's neat that those lights I put up outside sorta illuminate the inside for me I'm in a college town like I said and umm there are some pretty risque lights out there!
Date: 12/10/2004 11:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    I've got some decorations up but not much. I still have to get our Christmas tree. I'm not putting up any christmas lights on our house cause our house is so retarded.
Date: 12/11/2004 1:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 36766    We have a little tree put up. We can't do a big tree because the dog & cat would have a field day w/ the decorations & the lights. We also have some things that light up in the windows, like a Santa & a tree & an angel. There's some icicle lights up on the backporch. Other than that, that's all the decorations we have & that's probably going to be it.
Date: 12/11/2004 1:58:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62881    Thanks to all for their comments!...Green Eyed Froggy
