1 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 cup canned pumpkin
2 eggs
2 cupps all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat sugar and margarine in large bowl on medium speed about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Beat in pumpkin and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
