Take them to the vet and have him give them Revolution. It is kind of pricey but very effective! |

Thank you for the advice, I will look into doing that. But, after that, how do i get them out of my carpet and all? Once they dont have the cats to feed on, then I become their pray. After I have treated them, then I have gotten bit. So that will also help. Thanks! |

Vacuum the house and bomb it several times once the cats have been treated. There are a few carpet sprays and powders for fleas that work well, but you have to get to the source of the problem LOL |

what you need to do is treat the cats....all 6 of them, this is costly, because the products you buy at the stores do NOT work...you need advantage, you can get this at the vet or online, which i have found that online is way cheaper then the vet. this treatment needs to be done every month, not just when you think about it, you have to stay on top of it . next you need to treat the house..doing what you said you did is right, keep on top of that..second you can do the outside as well..because if the cats go outside, that is where they get them...good luck, its a great battle. |

Yes, it will definately be pricey, but my advice follows the same lines as the other peeps that have answered, you must treat the cats with perscription strength stuffs. Good Luck. |

We had so many problems with fleas it wasn't even funny..they would up and bite us, our cats were allergic to them and would lose all the hair on their little butt-butts..they just wouldn't go away so we put bombs in every room. Still didn't keep them out. Our problems went away when we got rid of our carpet. |

I don't know what to tell you other than take the advice of what people are saying here. I had two dogs and a cat..and never have I had a flea problem....maybe because I had one dog with allergies ad when they testedhim he was allergic to fleas.....so I had to be sure I never let the dogs or cat get fleas....... |

we use advantix for our dogs and revolution for our cat. you can use advantage, but it takes several hours to kill the first flea whereas the revolution starts killing within minutes. ordering online will save you BIIG $$$. I can't remember who it was, but someone here did a post on how you get them out of your carpet, they used borax powder, I believe. |

The best thing I have found for getting rid of fleas is fossil shell flour. Usually sold by independent distributers, fossil flour has a lot fo uses, getting rid of fleas being only one. I used about a half cup one time, sprinkling it all through the house, and within one week there were no more fleas. You may have trouble finding a distributer, but if you can find one, you will not be disappointed. |

The distributer that I got my fossil flour from sold the food grade fossil shell flour. It actually dehydrates the fleas, as well as other pests, so that they die. It also keeps their eggs from hatching. I know of some people who actually take the food grade flour themselves. Because of it's makeup, it takes impurities out of the system. One girl who took it actually lost about 50 pounds without any evident side effects. Understand though, the people who take fossil flour are using only the purest flour found, and are using only food grade flour that has been tested as safe for ingestion. |
