Kronk this poem is amazing...I will tell you what it made me think of..Not sure if that was what you were getting at..I thought of all those young soldiers out there fighting in the war..trying to follow in the footsteps of those gone before them. Trying to live up to the expectations of family, gov't and past war veterens and feeling like they dont "measure up"... |

the thing about speaking prophetically is that you don't always know you're being prophetic. "the powers that be, that force us to live like we do, bring me to my knees, when i see what they've done to you. and i'll die as i stand here today, knowing that deep in my heart, they'll fall to ruin one day, for making us part." -the pretenders |

Lady Luck Well said, lady. Indeed, you have noticed that the key is "young." My Father-in-law is eighty and I'm fifty-two. He still calls me a punk...hehehe..At times, the generation gap does run deep. Bless our young soldiers, yes. Thank you for reading and for your xcellant perspective, my friend... |

Hi, Jezebel Makes a lot of sense, yes it does. I usually don't know it's important 'till someone points it out. Then, of course, it worries me constantly. "By the time all the hair turns grey, all my "grey-matter" will be gone, also..*wink* Thank you for coming, my lady. (Crissy Hind rocks) |

seems like people fight for something their whole life, and all for something that they thought they believed in just because everyone else believed in it. I really liked this writing. one of the best ive seen in a long time. |

How sad those young ones fight for, and die for anyone who doesn't understand. Even more if they die without ever realizing why. |
