you'll need antibiotics as soon as you can get them... strep can turn into rheumatic fever which can have all kinds of complications. The antibiotics are a pill, so you don't have to taste them, and the prescription should cost less than $10 to have filled. Go the ER, they can call you dad and get the info, or bill you. |

I wish it were tonsilitis, LSR..fortunately (I guess,lol), I was born without tonsils. If I'm no better tomorrow, I'll definitely go to the ER. It hurts so bad to talk and swallow, and that gland is driving me nuts. Thanks for the info, and yes, Mother LSR, I'll take the nastiest meds I can find just because you told me to,lol   |

Sounds like it could be strep or mono. Have your dad give you the number off of your insurance card. The doctor's office can always call to verify it. Or you can have your dad fax a copy of your insurance card to the doctor. Either way, it sounds like you need to see a doctor. Strep throat can turn into scarlet fever if not treating promptly.  |

Sounds like a case of strep throat to me...nasty stuff!! Drink plenty of fluids, and get to a doc ASAP, usually if you tell them that you have insurance and that you will get the card or info to them they will take you in without it in your possession and just bill you. I know they say payment due and present card at visit etc..but it's more a guideline than a rule.  |
