She threw the book on the floor and stared at him in rage. There was something about him that always got under her skin and made her want to scream. The look in his eyes was of fear but interest. He wanted to know what she was thinking but didn't know how to ask. He had a way of manipulating her mind, a way unlike anyone else. A storm raged through her thoughts on what she should say or do to express herself. Then she met his eyes. Those green eyes that had such a tight hold on her that they made her weak.
She laughed to herself on the inside. She was stronger then this she knew it. A part of her was stuck up in that way, she thought she had it all and could go with the flow to take control, but this time she didn't. He gentle touched her hand with a smile. He knew exactly what she was thinking or at least wanted her to think he did. He always had this way of reassuring her without words just a look or a gentle touch of her hand or cheek.
She walked away from him and left him in the room by herself as she locked the door to her bedroom. Her mind was so focused on the world around her that there was no time for the manipulation that he had over her emotions. There was something missing, something she couldn't explain. And then it hit her like a ton of bricks out of nowhere. That's when she knew what she needed to do, the question was how and when.
